DALLAS BEATS SAN ANTONIO BABY !!!

DALLAS on its way to Western Conference Finals, woohooo.  GO MAVSSSS…  What a game that was, how can mavs let Spurs come back?  Dallas always cools off after two quarters, no idea why.  They play excellent basketball the first 2 quarters but something happens to them after half time.  Mavs gotta keep up the same energy after half time when they play either Phoenix or LA Clippers.  But hats off to Dallas coaching on job well done, great job.  I wish i was in Dallas.  I feel bad for my neighbours because they had to hear all my screaming, but oh well, that's their problem 🙂  GO DALLAS, wohoooooooo.  Let's go baby on the way to the Championship 🙂

Steve Ballmer Speak

Today there was a Town Hall meeting today in Bldg 34's cafeteria.  And I decided to go that meeting when I could have just watched it at comforts of my desk.  The reason I wanted to go there was because Steve Ballmer was going to be there.  Meeting was supposed to start at 2:30pm and I got there at 2:15pm and the place was already packed.  So I had to stand in back of the room/cafeteria along with lots of other employees.  One of the things I noticed was how awesome it was to see so much diversity at this company.  I think that was just great.  Anyways, at 2:30pm, top execs entered the cafeteria including head of Entertainment division, COO, head of HR and of course Steve Ballmer.  There was one more person there, but I wasn't sure who that was, I couldn't read his title on the big screen b/c there were lot of people blocking my view.  Anyways, I have seen Steve Ballmer speak before, just not in person, so that was the main reason I wanted to attend this town hall meeting.  So I finally saw him and heard him speak.  He does carry amazing amount of energy with him and he is really excited about what he is doing and what Microsoft has to offer.  The best part about this company is unwillingness to accept the defeat and be number 2.  Some announcements were made by head of HR regarding the changes in performance review and other stuff, which I am not going to discuss.  (You can check out Scobleizer's blog for more info on those cool changes and why Microsoft is one of the best companies to work for.) So in conclusion, it was great to see Steve Ballmer speak and see his enthusiasm and energy in person. After standing up for 2 hours, my legs and back were hurting, but it was good experience.  For some reasons, staff meetings always pump me up, I’m weird like that.  I took couple of pictures from far, I’ll try to put them up.Tejas

AdCenter at 100%

Before I begin, a disclaimer:  Opinions on this blog are of mine and mine only.  It does not represent those of microsoft or any other companies.  In other words, these are just MY opinions. Ok on with the show.  It has been long time since I have written on my blog.
Lot of things has happened since then.  Actually lot of things has been happening on daily basis.  First, AdCenter went live last Thursday and it is now Microsoft AdCenter and not MSN AdCenter.  Oh also, there was a strategic advertising summit last week and announcement was made during the summit.  On Thursday there was a big party at Safeco field and it was the best party I have been to, I am serious.  It was amazing.  Can I give out details?  hmmm, I am sure I can but I don't want to take chances.  But in summary, it was amazingly awesome party.  Its awesome to have AdCenter at 100%, its exciting times for everyone.  Now advertisers have a new and better option 🙂 (read the disclaimer)

Changing the topic, before I used to get little frustrated how microsoft was not pumping out products every week like google was, since product life cycle on the internet is much shorter.  But in the past couple of weeks, they have come up with lot of good products and products that still need improvements.  Microsoft came out with Academic search, product search, live.com, AdCenter, etc.  Also, I have invite for Windows Live Messenger 8 Beta, if someone wants to try it out.  I like it.  But honestly, I don't like the windows live mail, I just don't like the look and feel of it.

Oh today, I noticed a bug in Windows Live Messenger and I went to the product internal sharepoint and I emailed someone about the bug.  And guess what, within 10-15 mins, bug was escalated to the product development team.  How awesome is that, I LOVE IT.  that was soooo awesome.  Alright, I think I am going to keep updating this blog more regularly.  Since I got back from vacation (
Texas, end of April), I just have been lazy.  There are just not enough hours in the day.

Oh also, Apprentice is my favorite show.  Next week they are going to sell XBOX 360 in next week's episode, woohoo.

Disclaimer one more time:  Opinions on this blog are that of mine and mine only, it does not represent those of microsoft or any other companies.
